We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our marketing initiatives, ensuring they align with our mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

Newsletter and Email Marketing:

  • Write, design, and issue monthly newsletters for Money A+E partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
  • Craft dedicated emails for specific activities and events, tailored to segmented audiences.

Social Media Management:

  • Support the delivery of a strategic social media presence.
  • Manage Money A+E's social media channels and communication tools.
  • Curate compelling organic social media content, including creating social media banners and videos using Canva.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Assist in evaluating Money A+E's communications activities.
  • Record and report key analytics to internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate impact.
  • Produce monthly channel reports to track performance.

Digital Communications Optimization:

  • Utilize insights from website, newsletter, and social media analytics to optimize digital communications.
  • Build audience engagement and identify opportunities for improvements across social media, email marketing, and the website.

Copywriting:

  • Write accurate, engaging, and targeted copy for various audiences and channels.

Marketing and Communications Material:

  • Support the design and production of marketing and communications materials, ensuring consistent branding and layout.
  • Create leaflets, reports, and other collateral in line with the organization's house style.

Website and Blog Management:

  • Upload content to the Money A+E website and blog.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain the website, ensuring timely and interesting content that aligns with the organization's brand.

Collaborative Teamwork:

  • Be a proactive and hands-on member of the communications team, contributing to other projects and liaising with colleagues to ensure accurate and engaging communications.

Lived Experience Leadership:

  • Embed the principles of Money A+E's "Lived Experience Leadership" in communications and interactions with staff, members, and stakeholders.

Ad Hoc Duties:

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Marketing & Communications Lead.
  • This may include managing volunteers and agency/freelance providers, maintaining data storage, and occasionally responding to inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and communications roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and tools, including social media management, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Strong creative skills with experience in content creation and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of website management and basic HTML/CSS is desirable.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools to track and measure marketing performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to promoting financial education and empowerment.
