Primary Objective:
The HSE Manager has key accountability of performing health and safety management functions to the project
and support for the project management team, including HSE coaching & mentoring and effective HSE
strategies and management plans to support the engineering, procurement and construction of the project(s)
and overseeing a team of site based HSE professionals during construction.
Specific Accountabilities:
1. HSE Management · Utilising the Worley’s framework to undertake risk assessment of the project through engineering, procurement & construction and develop HSE plans to support each phase of the project. · Develop HSE standards, systems, and procedures to support the project(s). · Develop and implement HSE training for the project including orientation, hazard analysis & safety leadership. · Implement robust contractor management process including pre-selection, orientation, and on-the-ground review of performance (informal & formal) · Ensure effective hazard & incident management processes are implemented including the use of the Worley’s system. · Implement effective Emergency Preparedness and Response plans aligned with Worley & Client Crisis Management Plans. · Manage the local R3 processes and participate in project start up work – (project mobilization). Ensure thorough 2. Personnel · Recruit HSE personnel required to support the project · Coach & mentor direct reports and project team members to improve HSE skills and competencies. 3. HSE Management · Liaise with HSE professionals to identify & share improvements · Participate in HSE inspections & audits across project(s)

Essential Skills / Experience:
- HSE experience as a senior Safety professional role in a heavy industry environment.
- Understanding of the principles and practices of HS Management and the implementation and
- Proven capability in managing and controlling budgets and schedules along with strong leadership and
- Solid strategic planning ability within a Commercial environment, also being able to operate at Senior
- A relevant tertiary qualification, gained within an Analytical discipline (eg: Environmental Science)
- Accredited Auditor qualifications
