Keystone is a friendly local building and property services company which has grown rapidly in the last 6 months and in particular in its supply of property maintenance services. We are looking for a multi-skilled person to join our expanding team with an immediate start either on a permanent or subcontractor basis. In particular, we work with agents and portfolio landlords attending to a multitude of maintenance issues across various sites in and around Bedford from plumbing failures to redecoration and refurbishment. As well as serving our property partners, we also undertake domestic jobs including bathroom and kitchen fitting.
The successful candidate will be able to provide a range of domestic repairs and improvements including:
- Kitchen fitting
- Floor and wall tiling
- Minor plumbing repair e.g. replacing taps, wastes and shower valves etc.
- Minor heating repair e.g. replacing radiator valves, replacing radiators, and repairing pipes etc.
- Bathroom fitting
- Repairing and replacing shower cubicles
- Painting & decorating
- Studwork and boarding
- Minor plastering works/hole repair
- Repair and/or lay vinyl flooring
- Minor electrical works incl. replacing sockets and switches, installing light fittings/LED bulkheads, extending sockets etc.
- Basic carpentry incl. hanging doors, fitting door locks and latches, fitting skirting, architrave, laminate flooring etc.
- Any other reasonable activity commensurate with the role

In addition successful candidate must have:
- Good communication skills and be able to relay repair details to office staff for quoting and billing
- A problem solving approach to fixing existing installations
- A friendly and personable style with customers and tenants
- A willingness to travel between sites
- Be trustworthy and reliable
