Our Logistics teams at Siemens Global Business Services support Siemens world wide in various Supply Chain fields (Transportation & Customs, Freight Clearing, Digitalization of Logistics processes etc.). To strengthen our team we look for Freight Services Manager who will help us to shape the future of Freight Services - EDIfication of transportation processes, automation of transport tracking, clearing & payments and in general digitalization of the transportation processes. Its highly demanding role in complex environment (millions of transports across all Siemens businesses per year).
Your mission:
- Leading team of experts responsible for Freight Services provided within Siemens
- Driving day-to-day operations – ensure onboarding of new carriers & Siemens locations into the digital process (EDI) & ensure high quality of already EDI connected locations & carriers.
- Interface to Siemens locations (manufacturing, warehouses, distribution centers), carriers & respective Siemens departments (IT, procurements etc.)
- Leading, motivation & development of the team (in various locations), continuous team expertise build up – act as knowledge hub for respective processes within Siemens
- Strong focus on internal processes improvement, KPI development & measurement
- Cooperation on new projects in field of transportation (e.g. new transport management system implementation)
- Business responsibility for given area (P&L, contracts with IT suppliers, cost optimization)
Your profile:
- Experience with leading, motivating & growing international teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, English and German language on very good level
- Experience in Freight clearing and international transportation processes, experience with digitalization & high IT affinity
- Able to drive topics & projects independently - ownership, able to manage complexity – structured way of working, able to understand end to end process - see “big picture” but as well be able to deep dive into detail,
- Experience with Shared Services concept an advantage (service & customer orientation), but not a must
- Positive attitude & “get it done” approach
