A day in the life of a IT Support Specialist, you will be a part of a team inside the European Parliament
Your main duties will be:
- Service desk agent, incident agent and analyst, problem agent and analyst
- Incident analysis, first and second-line customer liaison with the purpose of maximising the first call resolution rate
- First and second-line support: remote and on-site support
- Recording & tracking incident and request information
- Recording & tracking Problem information
- Participating in reconfiguration/installation of PC environment
- Documenting operational support procedures
- Drafting technical content for knowledge database
- IT support specialist must be able to perform all tasks of a service desk operator
- Testing and administration of applications
- Liaising with system administration and database administration for execution of administration tasks
- ITSS may be asked to fulfil SDO tasks and vice-versa when working for MEP IT Support
If you have
- Minimum 3 year(s) of relevant professional experience
- Very good skills in all of the MS office applications
- Very good skills with end user computers and, more specifically, Windows computers
- Good understanding of the main mobile devices platforms and core mobile applications
- ITIL V4 Foundation Certified or certification must be passed within 3 months after the start of the contract
- Fluent in both English and French or German both written and oral
- Knowledge of additional official EU languages may be considered an asset
- Very good communication skills
- Empathetic and user oriented
- Capacity to function in a team
- Capacity to listen to, understand and analyse end user complaints and act to resolve them
- Stress resilience and able to work with sometimes very short deadlines in VIP support scenarios

It would also be a plus if you had
- Knowledge of/or experience in ITIL environment
- Part of the consultants needs to be fluent in German both written and oral
- Knowledge of additional EU official languages
Working Conditions:
Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 08h00 and 20h00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed.
