Your role
We're looking for ABS Quants Intern to:
- participate in the pricing and risk analysis of large internal or external MBS/ABS bond portfolios. The analysis reports are basis for making trading or hedging decisions on the portfolio.
- develop light spreadsheet tools to help traders analyze and monitor their trading exposures.
- generate reports to track the market behavior using mortgage loan performance data.
- apply the internal mortgage forecasting model to generate projection results for the RMBS assets on a monthly basis.
- develop marking tools using market information using Python.
Your team
The Shanghai Quantitative Analytics Group of UBS is an entrepreneurial, cross-asset team focusing on building the market-leading analytics across all asset classes and provides comprehensive quantitative analysis support to all business units throughout the Investment Bank in all regions.
Your expertise
- Minimum master degree from a top tier university, preferably in Science or Finance disciplines (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics or Financial Engineering).
- Strong analytical abilities and sound logic is required.
- Familiar with Python, or other object oriented computer languages: C , C#, Java.
- Proficiency in Excel VBA is a plus.
- Good sense with numbers, fast-learning and detail oriented.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English. Minimum CET 6 or equivalent.
- Good team spirits with excellent communication skills.
