The main responsibilities of the Investment Office department are:

Following up the investments and the portfolio: analysis of the portfolio moves, new investments, derivative impact, and compliance with regulation.

Reporting the evolution of the portfolio and explaining the differences compared to the previous period: analysis of change and presentation to the executive members.
-
Ensuring that the portfolio used for the ALM, and risk calculation is up to date: DV01 analysis, accounting impact of decisions related to the ALM, Solvency II impact.

Performing ALM analysis (hedging of interest rate risk, ...): budget in BEGAAP and Solvency II related to the investment portfolio.
-
Analysing private placement: private debt and equity analysis. This implies analysis of report received, of new investments and guarantees relates to it.

Your responsibilities
As part of the investment team, you will work in close collaboration with several internal stakeholders, such as our accounting & controlling department, our actuary department, and the group Investment department. You are therefore responsible for e.g.:

Supporting the revision of the strategic asset allocation.

Performing periodic asset and liability reviews to steer investment decisions and manage liquidities.

Explaining the evolution of the hedging strategy and proposing improvements.
-
Preparing decision-making, policies and analyses for senior management.
-
Ensuring senior management is properly advised in regard to ALM issues.

Deploying and maintaining pricing tools used for regular pricing of unquoted assets.
-
Supporting the quarterly and year-end financial closing.
-
Assisting in the financial integration of newly acquired portfolios.
-
Contributing to the preparation of financial reports (BEGAAP, MGAAP, NBB and Solvency II).

Participating in annual forecast and budget process.
-
Supporting process improvement initiatives.

You will from time-to-time travel to our other offices (UK, Dublin, …).
Your profile
-
You have a master’s degree in actuarial sciences, financial engineering, applied mathematics, business administration, finance, economics or equivalent.

You have at least 5 years' experience in a relevant position, preferably acquired in an investment or ALM department within the insurance or financial sector.

You have a strong knowledge of Solvency II.

You are a skilled user of MS Office and have good programming skills in Excel/VBA.
-
You are a native French or Dutch speaker with good command of the other national language and are fluent in English.

You show good communication skills and can present findings to senior and management stakeholders effectively and clearly.
-
You can work and learn quickly in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

You have strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
