Marketing Assistant [Hong Kong S.A.R.]


 

Position Summary

As a member of the Business Development & Marketing team of King & Wood Mallesons, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting the execution of the firms marketing and business development (BD) strategies for the firm.

This role will support all areas of marketing, focusing on event coordination and logistics, digital marketing and brand building initiatives, as well as working with client relationship management (CRM) systems. This role involves regular engagement with lawyers and staff of all levels and requires critical thinking and the ability to handle multiple projects, at times under strict timeframes.

The incumbent will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager and will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator. The role will require the incumbent to support the Head of Business Development and other team members for joint campaigns.


Event support

  • Client events & seminars and external conference engagements Provide full support for the firms physical and virtual events programme (i.e. external and internal firm-wide client functions, webinars, CPD seminars, boardroom lunches, major client functions, and practice offsites).

Brand marketing

  • Marketing collateral Update and design marketing materials (e.g. brochures, posters and factsheets) in line with the firms brand guidelines; source branded merchandise as and when required manage inventory.
  • Legal directories and award submissions Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager and contribute to the firms brand building efforts on legal directories and award submissions.

Digital marketing

  • E-publications and channels Support the Marketing Coordinator in managing the firms client updates and database; update and distribute thought leadership reports through the firms system; optimise content across the firms digital channels including the website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and WeChat).

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or Law
  • 0-1 year of working experience; university students with strong desire to develop a marketing career in legal industry will be considered for an intern position
  • Experience in executing marketing programmes including events, publications and other marketing communication tools would be highly advantageous
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin. Must be able to draft marketing collateral
  • Advanced software skills notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with CRM systems, InDesign and Photoshop would be highly advantageous
